Presenting NARBW’s
2026 National Woman of the Year

Celebrating Jasmine Manley
The National Association of Railway Business Women proudly congratulates Jasmine Manley on being selected as the 2026 National Woman of the Year.
Jasmine exemplifies the leadership, service, and vision that define NARBW. As President of the Chicago Chapter, she has strengthened chapter operations, expanded membership, elevated NARBW’s visibility across the rail industry, and created sustainable initiatives that will benefit the organization for years to come.
Her impact includes leading the Chicago Chapter’s historic 100th Anniversary Celebration, launching a chapter scholarship program, establishing a Chicago Chapter Operation Lifesaver volunteer group, spearheading the development of the new Chapter website (narbwchicago.org), and building stronger partnerships across the railroad industry through corporate membership outreach and national conference engagement.
Jasmine’s service extends beyond NARBW through her leadership in the railroad industry, community organizations, faith-based initiatives, and professional associations. Her dedication to mentorship, professional development, and advancing opportunities for women in rail continues to inspire those around her.
Please join us in celebrating Jasmine Manley and thanking her for her outstanding leadership, commitment, and service to NARBW and the railroad industry.
Congratulations, Jasmine, on this well-deserved honor!
You Are a Shining Star - Convention & Tour Highlights
NARBW members from across the country gathered in Roanoke, Virginia, for our 2026 National Convention on May 1–2, coming together for two full days of business sessions, networking, and connection. The schedule included the President’s Brunch, Membership Luncheon, Candidate’s Reception, Banquet, and our always‑popular Market Place, along with the announcements of our National Woman of the Year and the 2026 scholarship recipients.
Our theme, You Are a Shining Star, lit up Fun Night as members stepped back into the Disco era with DJ Hootie Mack, great music, and plenty of sparkle.
Many members arrived early on April 30 for the Pre‑Convention Tour, beginning with a morning photo at the iconic Roanoke Star—an illuminated landmark overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and one of the most photographed symbols of Virginia’s Blue Ridge. The tour continued with a meaningful visit to the National D‑Day Memorial in Bedford, followed by lunch at Liberty Station, a former passenger depot filled with railroad history. Afternoon options included viewing the NARBW display at the Virginia Museum of Transportation or enjoying time at Rosie’s.
Our national service project was a tremendous success, with members donating more than 1,000 pairs of eyeglasses to the Lions Club to support vision health in communities nationwide.
It was a memorable week of learning, camaraderie, and sisterhood—captured beautifully in our group photo at the Roanoke Star.

Steps Up for Heart Health
Members of NARBW SoCal walked in memory of their beloved chapter member Ilyssa DeCasperis, marking the first anniversary of her passing due to heart disease. As part of the Metrolink team in the American Heart Association LA Heart Walk, the chapter honored her legacy with action, awareness, and heart.
Leading up to the event, members participated in weekly wellness challenges to boost engagement and fundraising. Each challenge earned entries into prize drawings—one for local members and one for national participants. The chapter raised nearly $700 toward the $8,700 total contributed by Metrolink.
“This journey is more than just steps—it’s a tribute to her memory and a commitment to heart health.”
– Shamonda Jones, Chapter President
